12 Half Pan Travel Kit

The 12 Half Pan Travel Kit is a modular watercolor palette system built around one of the designs that started everything.

Part of our Original Palette Line, this kit is rooted in a small group of palettes that have remained with us from the beginning — not because they were trendy, but because they worked. Over time, they’ve been refined, updated, and expanded while staying true to their original purpose.

This Travel Kit represents a balanced, portable setup: a foundational palette paired with thoughtfully designed accessories that allow it to grow without becoming complicated.

The Foundation Palette
At the center of the kit is our 12 half pan palette, featuring a removable insert and magnetic base. The insert allows you to customize your color layout, while the magnetic base keeps pans secure whether you’re working at home or painting on the go.

Subtle side notches on the left and right edges of the palette serve two intentional purposes:

• Making the insert easy to remove without tools
• Acting as dedicated integration points for modular accessories
These notches are part of the original design language of the palette and are what allow this system to expand naturally.

Mixing Trays That Connect to Each Other Magnetically

The Travel Kit includes mixing trays designed to connect to each other magnetically.
These trays were originally engineered to prevent unwanted movement when used near the water dish, keeping the mixing surface stable and controlled. Over time, that same magnetic connection revealed an added benefit — the trays can be joined together to create a larger, unified mixing surface.

The trays can be:
• Connected to each other magnetically
• Used together as an expanded mixing area on one side of the palette
• Separated and positioned independently
• Reconfigured mid-session to suit your workflow
This flexibility allows the kit to remain compact for travel while still offering room to expand when needed.

Magnetic Water Dish Holder

The kit also includes a magnetic water dish holder, designed to keep water secure and accessible without cluttering your workspace. Like the rest of the system, it integrates cleanly and can be repositioned as your setup changes.
